PUNKY COUTURE COLLABORATES WITH THE GO GETTA$ AND THICK & THIN PRINTING IN DESIGN AND PRODUCTION.

Together, we created the illusion of dressing women in nothing but lingerie.  We printed corsets and garter belts with fishnet thigh highs onto body fit tees and leggings.  Using special UV inks, some pieces looked plain black but as soon as the garments got closer to the black light, the design became visible as if the model was being viewed through x-ray glasses.  Other than that, i incorporated  my  usual punky techniques of slashing and instead of the basic slashes, i cut tiny slits to add lacing to the corsets. 

Other than the lingerie designs, i bought a few simple shirts from Wet Seal and Forever 21, such as:

1) I <3 my boyfriend

      on top of the <3, we placed the word “PUNK,” making the shirt say, ” I PUNK MY BOYFRIEND” to represent the strong female market i cater to, or to be able to strengthen the woman who does  support the brand.  I don’t think any female should take any bullshit from any man or anybody.  It was also kinda cute being that the fashion show was held the night before Valentine’s day. 

2) a black tee with an image of a grey cat face

      This shirt was just cute and i remember at the time, I was so excited for Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” to come out.  So we printed a smile like the original Cheshire Cat from Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland” onto the mouth area in UV so it would play and connect the cartoon version.  It would look like a cute cat in normal light, but as it got close to the black light, the cat would fade and you would only see the smile like how Alice thought she saw the moon then the cat appeared sitting on a tree.

I mixed in some old designs from previous collections because i felt that i never had good footage from the other shows, so the Manny Pacquiao shirts were part of a collaboration I had with Thick & Thin’s Filipino roots inspired clothing line, Sons of the Nation.

The printed many great designs  incorporating the old skool Filipino Flag, as well as the current Filipino flag.  They have a design creating the Filipino 8-ray sun out of old school Filipino warrior swords and daggers. I took these shirts and tailored them to the models and added slashes, lacing, and added fabric to some of them. 

The Menswear is by CA Couture and features T-shirts from Thick & Thin’s Son’s of the Nation line.
